What does it mean to go on a CSI trip?

Going on a trip with CSI is probably one of the easiest ways to fulfill the Great Commission. Right from the initial planning stages to the actual trip to and from these countries, CSI makes these life-changing trips not only feasible but simple for both the first-time counselor as well as a seasoned missionary!

Apathy due to ignorance is the reason I feel that poverty, injustice, and evil is allowed to exist in the world. These trips allow you the chance to destroy the apathy in your life and force you to act on another’s behalf.

CSI trips have greatly impacted my life. They have opened my eyes to new experiences and opportunities that I otherwise would not have encountered. I’ve left a piece of my heart in every country that I’ve visited through CSI and I hope to return again one day.

If you want to go and make yourself available, God will provide a way for you. Going on a CSI trip can be the most challenging but rewarding trip anyone can take.
– Daniel R.

I went to Guatemala in 2011 and then to South Africa in 2015. By being a part of those teams, I was obedient to what I knew God was wanting me to do. God was faithful throughout the process – I didn’t have to give any of my personal finances to go on the trips because people were generous to my fundraising efforts. The experiences and children from those locations have forever changed my life. But don’t just take my word for it, go find out for yourself!

Why CSI?

One day the camper looked up at me and said, “Did you know my mother is dead?” She shared with me how she always felt alone, but that the first day of camp’s Bible Discovery Time helped her remember to pray and that Jesus would help heal her heart. Children all over the world are in crisis. The potential to break the cycle of hurt and despair is not just a nice thought—we know it to be real! CSI is building sustainable nationally led campsites, reaching thousands of children around the world.

Who is CSI?

We are an interdenominational, non-profit ministry that mobilizes individuals around the world to run life-changing camps, effectively counsel children in crisis, and do practical children’s ministry year round.

What do we do?

We collaborate with children’s ministries around the world to create exciting, fun-filled camp experiences where children get to feel God’s love and find His purpose for their lives. We train nationals in Crisis Care and dynamic children’s ministry. We equip nationals to run effective, life changing camps.

How do we do it?

We take teams on Global Outreaches to impact children around the world – each team is led by seasoned children’s ministry professionals who have had extensive training and experience in the global camp industry. We conduct training and model how we run camps and ministry to children and youth.
